At any time of year keen birdwatchers should be able to see well over 50 species of birds during a week's stay. The rich and varied range of ecological habitats at Ardmarnoch in combination with our wildlife friendly management policy means that the estate could quallify as a bird sanctuary! Over 100 species have been identified.
Over two miles of mostly rocky coastline, with sandy bays and offshore islands attract a variety of sea and shore life. Large areas of ancient oak woods teem with woodland birds in summer, while areas of coastal heath, grassland, rough pasture, mixed 'policy' woodlands, gardens and adjoining forestry plantations and moorland help to attract a wide range of birds and other wildlife.
Our gardener, Mike can provide guidance as to location to see different bird species.
