Twenty minutes drive from your accommodation here at Ardmarnoch will bring you to Portavadie, where you can take the Calmac ferry across to Tarbert on the Kintyre Peninsula where you can explore or alternatively you can catch other ferries across to Arran, Gigha or Islay and Jura.

Portavadie until very recently has only been known as a ferry terminal but now Portavadie Marina complex is being developed and will be in full operation in the summer of 2008. It features 230 berths at excellent sheltered moorings, a restaurant, wireless broadband internet access, toilets, showers and much more.
