Ardmarnoch is a sporting and activity estate and offers opportunites for fishing, shooting and stalking. For any of the activities below please contact Graham, our estate manager.
Fishing
Brown trout fishing is available on the Estate in the lochan south of the cottages. Sea fishing is available from the coast on the rocks or by boat with Graham, the Estate Manager.
Off the Estate, very nearby, on Loch Melldaloch, approximately 40 acres in size, there is also excellent trout fishing. Permits can be purchased at the Oystercatcher Restaurant. There is also Loch Ascog, approximately 59 acres in size. Please ask us for any details.
Please;
Please ask estate staff for details of permits. Fishing equipment can be provided with due notice.
Walk Up Shooting
Rough shooting is available in season, over pointer and springer spaniels. The ground is ideal for walk up - particularly through the estate woods. Pheasants are put down each year but we also have woodcock, snipe and pigeon. A number of flight paths provide opportunities to shoot mallard and teal.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
Available all year round. For fees and arrangements please see Graham.
Stalking
Red and Roe deer stalking is also available for interested parties, once again with due notice and dependent on season and staff availability.
Children's Night Time Safari
Ardmarnoch is teaming with wildlife, but it is even more fascinating at night where creatures that you are unlikely to see during the day may be seen. The opportunity to see a whole array of creatures including owls await you as you travel around the estate 'Jurassic Park' style, in the safety and with the guidance of our staff. Once again please request with due notice so arrangements can be made for your party.
